
A spectacular carpet, Les Liserons (Convolvulus), that was designed by Jules Coudyser for the 1925 International Exhibition in Paris that launched the so-called “Art Deco” movement.
The interior vignette that this was featured in was designed by Raymond Quibel for Mercier Freres (please see Art Deco and Modern Carpets, Susan Day, Ills 58,59).
